I was able to see Old Man Gloom the night before this show in Hamden CT; I bought a copy of their new album “NO” on tape deck that I plan to pass down through generations of my family as if it was a civil war rifle. It will entitle a note as follows “Listen… to live the gloom…”

The Low Sun South of The Bronx

This poster created by Ernie Hellgate Industries is great in many aspects. From the details within the image depicting a story. To the colors used toward accenting fine points that symbolize the sun setting in the distance. Just from the actions within the image it looks like it could tell a 200 page storybook with the song below as the under town theme to the book.

Texas True Widow

The above print comes from Bjorn Bauer for a True Widow show at Norman Music Festival. Bjorn Bauer design is fitting to the style of music True Widow creates. The profile of a person looking at nothing while looking at everything coincides with True Widow’s style of slow tempo, down tuned psychedelic rock. The dense rough lines that create the details in the face contrast with the large amount of negative space creating distinction that follows True Widow’s Texas roots of humidity so heavy it lays low on top of the hot pavement masking everything. 

In a deck of cards the king of hearts is the only king without a moustache.

The above print comes from the French duo Elvisdead, they have an interesting style of harsh black and white contrast that comes across as a mix of nightmares and hallucinations.
