The Peculiar Existence of Gabe Lewis

I’ve recently been developing thumbnails for some posters I want to create. Much of what I listen to influences my ideas behind what I want to get across in art.  I’ve been listening to a lot of Rosetta lately; I think I’ve been listening to so much because I can’t figure out what I like about it. The post rock sound of delayed encrusted guitars clashing with the intensity of vocals? Or is it the unbroken bass coherent through the ever-changing drums? Take a look at some of Dan McCarthy’s artwork, the passion and style that goes into his prints reminds me much of Rosetta’s stylistic approach to music. The sense of being alone is forgotten underneath the swift empowerment of nature’s elegance. Above is a print by Dan McCarthy titled as the world turns.
